Kale and bacon and brews. This is as close as N and I get to healthy. He is starting to run with me though!
Recipe time! So here’s how to make one of my all time favourite summer cocktails, I posted this recipe back in 2009 when I had all of 10 followers-nabbed from Brix Picks (the blog that started me blogging)! Here is a simple recipe for Rosemary Lemon Vodka Fizz. It’s bright and light and with that ever so trendy twinge of a savoury herb. It couldn’t be easier to execute.
Simply squeeze
1 cup of fresh lemon juice,
Combine it with
1 cup sugar
And Two 8- inch sprigs of Rosemary.
Bring to a boil, and let simmer for two minutes.
After you let it cool combine with one part vodka and as much as one part seltzer water and go!
Pro tips: Garnish with sprigs of rosemary, smelling the herb goes a long way as far as enhancing it’s flavour without being overpowering. Also, if you don’t have time to wait an hour for your syrup to cool, put it in a bowl of ice water for 20 minutes or less. Enjoy!!
